a family on the mend....

Well, I hope so anyway.... I am optimistic we will turn a corner soon since the boys have been sick a week (since thanksgiving) and I was sick the week prior...and Patrick is STILL trying to kick his cold as well....

I am writing this update as I sit and watch and listen to Murphy breath at 3AM...listening carefully for a wheeze or shortness of breath... I cringe at every cough. Tonight we found out Murphy as RSV... a trip to the ER is how we spent our late night while the majority of this time zone slept. As always we were greeted by the kindest nurses... Loudoun INOVA hasn't lost their kindness...and for that I am thankful.

We started our day in the same ER....but with Sullivan....he too is sick with a cough, ear infections and an all around awful cold. He received fluids via IV and breathing treatments to bring up his oxygen levels before they would allow him to go home....Patrick was a real trooper hanging with the Sullivan while I held down the fort at home with Murphy & Henry.

So tonight it was my turn....

On a funny note, this morning when Patrick was leaving for the hospital...all three of the boys were crying...sullivan because breathing hurts, henry because he didn't want sullivan to leave and poor little murphy because he was feeling worse and worse..... at this point Patrick turned to me and said...so you ready for a 4th?! He is a funny guy....

To be honest, I'd love a 4th... :)

just one year ago.... oh how they have grown!

Sullivan and Henry are truly the best little duo EVER. I fall in love with them all over again every day...for a million reasons. They teach me, they test me & they inspire me to better myself for them each and every day. I am so blessed to have them in my life...they are an amazing gift. I am so very lucky to be with them everyday and not miss a beat... being at home with all three of my little men is something that really completes me. I am able to kiss all the booboos, read on demand, play a million games, cheer them on when they master new skills, and best of all I get to watch them love Murphy. All of these things are so amazing.... life is good.

so today I took the boys to an open house at the firehouse and then to the park to take a picture for their birthday invitation... here are a few of the shots we didn't use... the boys crack me up.

so a few of you have asked how I do my grocery shopping... this is my set up... two boys in the front, one baby in the top basket and the bottom basket free for groceries.... a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do :) the boys really are amazing!

As I looked through pictures new & old I found these two and I just had to share...oh how time changes our littlest friends.... I just love every stage more than I ever knew possible. My boys are my greatest gift for sure....all 4 of them!
