Today the boys and I went to Fairfax Hospital for a family reunion of sorts...we got to see our doctor friends that took such amazing care of sullivan and henry while they were growing like beans and when they sprouted into people outside the womb! :) The best part of our journey was meeting Danielle & Steve's newest addition.... she is DARLING! We were so privileged to meet her on her second day of life in this big world! She is beautiful!

A Friday trip to Wegmans! These boys LOVE to shop.... they are very helpful too! They hold the fruits & veggies... I need to get a picture of that... they often like to take bites of onions, peppers and limes... oh the faces they make... :)

Sullivan on a purple horse at the park early Saturday morning! Patrick and I take turns working out... one works out the other runs with the boys & then we switch & the other takes them to the park.... then we meet up... this weekend the boys even enjoyed a soccer game - OH FUN!

Today after church we met Sharyn at our park! It was so so fun to catch up... she hadn't met the boys! Sharyn is a school psychologist that I worked with in Fairfax County... she rocks & is a fabulous friend! We enjoyed our visit...

I always make sure the boys have plenty to do while we drive - toys, books -the works! ... even if it is just while we drive to the store or the park... so henry was enjoying a book as I opened the car door... he gave me the best smile.... sullivan was sleeping soundly in the car seat next to him.... such cuties...I am one lucky lady! I just had to take a picture... thank goodness I always travel with the camera!

So the boys and I packed up today and went to a local farm, petting zoo & playground.... boy was it fun! We met our great friends Christina (the mom), Chase & Jacob there.... so much fun! Gotta love our folksy outings.... In case you are wondering... Christina and I go waaaay back.... we both taught together at Country Day School, in Mclean, back in the day! Now we both have two boys... so hard to believe...

oh what a day....

so the day started with very little sleep and a very tired momma...but that is just par for the course around here... then while we were getting ready henry busted his mouth in the bathroom after recovering from hitting his eye with his wooden blue elephant... so off to the doctor we went....

after the drama of the doctor we headed to the park in Mclean to blow off a little steam....where we found that the yellow jacket population was insane... they weren't lying... it was bad. so we left.. I called Patrick and we were able to meet him for lunch since we were in the area....

The boys LOVE their dad and enjoy our lunch dates or visits during the week... they get so excited...! The highlight WASN'T the hair in my egg salad... let's just say I didn't eat it... YUCK.

it was a great day with friends and family.... my family couldn't attend since it was kind of a quick thing and they live a million miles away... that would have been the only thing we would have done differently.... made sure everyone was there....October will be here soon enough though and we will get to see them for the boys' 1st birthday and then for thanksgiving in November....

we had a fabulous time and we are so lucky to have such great friends! it made for a very happy day.
