a busy Thursday...

Patrick rescued me so I could get my hair done! I think this was the first trip to Elizabeth Arden for the boys... Kate loved their pudge!

Yesterday we realized the boys had grown out of their car seats & stroller... yup it was just like that...one minute it worked & the next they hated it! So, at 5:15PM yesterday Patrick ordered all of our supplies from diapers.com and by the next morning/today everything was on our front step... these are pictures of the boys just trying out their new stroller in the living room :)

After figuring out we are waaaay too big for our current digs... we headed off to shop for the next great thing! Oh, I know I have blogged about our double BOB stroller... that does rock & the boys LUV it but it isn't ideal for shopping and maneuvering in small spaces... I use it to walk & run it is also great for the beach! Sullivan was my only "awake" baby so I asked him to try a few things out! I think he wanted me to take a few pictures to share with all of YOU!

I think he likes it. We have a date to head to Great Beginnings this Friday morning with our friends Danielle & her girls to get our new stroller & two new car seats! Oh, the reason we go to Great Beginnings is because they offer a fabulous twin discount on everything...yes, everything! AND the have everything ever made for twins in stock... gotta luv em!

a morning visit to see Dr. Lee

it was way too hot for real clothes today so please don't mind the onesies!

very busy boys...

This morning the boys and I had a visit to our favorite GI, Dr. Lee. He helps Henry with his reflux issues. As of now Henry doesn't need any medication anymore... he is doing SOOO much better. The boys played while we waited for the doctor... and when Dr. Lee arrived they boys were all smiles. Henry LOVED Dr. Lee...we have seen him several times but Henry is getting older now and can interact and enjoy Dr. appts! It was fun for us (S & me) to watch... Henry weighs 18lbs 13.5 oz 27.5 inches long he is in the 90something %... the exact same that Sullivan weighed this past Thursday at his Dr. appt. They are neck n' neck on weight! Time for new car seats & a tearful (and I mean lots of tears) goodbye to the snap n' go! Time to pass it on to Karen & Cliff and their two impending arrivals!

We'll be back to Dr. Lee in three months for our next check up!

Tonight we found Henry holding his bottle as he watched us cook... we gave him some of his fave toys to prop it with and he thought our idea was for the birds ... he just took his two little hands and held on! I love how he curls his toes when he eats.... he is a very serious eater.

getting things done....

This is what happens to your grill when you are on strict bed rest during spring, summer & fall of an entire year.... your grill gets gross... details are so important (to me anyway).... argh... I took advantage of Patrick being home with me today to get some things crossed off my list & boy did it feel good! Henry was a really big help...he gave me pointers from the bouncy seat!

sunglasses & ear infections

Today Sullivan took a trip to the doctor for his new hobby "ear pulling" .... we found out he has an ear infection... Patrick stayed home to help me today...which was very nice of him...the boys enjoyed the extra playmate. To explain these pictures.... ok, so I was on the deck working on a few things with Henry (who was very helpful) and we came in side to find Patrick & Sullivan on www.rayban.com trying on sunglasses...I guess it takes a picture of your head with your web cam and then you can actually try on glasses... I guess Sullivan must of asked to try it out too... so the second picture is of him attempting the task! I just had to take a picture...

Tonight Sullivan went to bed on time (after a dose of tylenol...he was full of big tears and pulling his ears...we have an appt tomorrow morning...poor little guy) Henry decided he wanted to stay up for some extra attention... he was so full of giggles! His laughter is priceless...

physical therapy...

Henry hangs out and exercises too... Sullivan does his exercises eight times a day at home too... he is a real trooper!

Sullivan enjoys physical therapy (for his torticollis aka tight neck muscles - due to his baby A status) every other week for an hour with Jeannie at Loudoun Hospital. I wouldn't take our children to Loudoun Hospital for anything more severe than a bloody nose but the physical therapist we see rocks. Fairfax Hospital is where my heart is :)

A play date with Bryce...

Today we enjoyed this rainy day inside on a play date with Bryce & Regina (his mom)... he can walk, run, dance and he knows lots of baby signs! He is such a cutie... Thanks for inviting us over!

Patrick turns 29... Happy Birthday!

We enjoyed a birthday dinner at Patrick's parents' house tonight. His cousins were in town and joined in on the festivities... they got to meet the boys for the first time. Oh, I wasn't favoring Henry with all of these pictures... Sullivan must have been hiding from me & the camera - my kind of kid!

Katie Chiet is having a baby...

So today I went to a baby shower for our friends Katie & Ben. They have only four short weeks to go before little miss Audrey Brooke Chiet arrives! This picture is of Katie's sisters, mom, mother & sister in law. It was a fabulous party!

a new way to eat...

So we are trying to avoid the giant highchairs ... they are mostly plastic with ruffles and primary colors and I just can't stand it... so here they sit in their bumbo seats with trays to fit! Pretty cute if you ask me. I sit on the floor with them to feed...they eat a fruit with oatmeal for breakfast, for lunch they enjoy a veggie & a different fruit, and for dinner the same. They are getting the hang of it. One thing they have perfected is how to make a giant mess! The great thing about messes is that the only way to learn how to clean em is to make em! So, messes aren't really that bad.

Henry loves sucking on fingers...even yours! Both boys have given up their passi... I think it is because they found their fingers...the noise it makes cracks me up!

Easter

We spent Easter at Patrick's parents' house in Fairfax. The crowd was big this year and everyone wanted to hold a baby! Thank goodness we have two!
